Two parallel grey bands run the length of the duvet cover on a 300 thread count, 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton sateen base. The grey banding reads as a cooler, more restrained contrast than navy or taupe - well-suited to bedrooms with grey, stone, or slate palettes and to those who want a tonal look rather than a strong colour accent. Closure is concealed coconut shell buttons - no plastic, no metal.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the leading international certification for organic textiles. It requires the cotton to be grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers and verifies that every processing stage - including spinning, weaving, dyeing, and finishing - meets strict chemical and labour standards. For banded colourways like this set, the grey dye must also meet GOTS criteria, excluding azo compounds and heavy metal-based pigments.
Two differences: band count and shade. This set has two parallel grey bands running across the duvet cover; the Dark Grey Single Band has one band in a deeper, charcoal-leaning tone. If you want a subtle, tonal look, the Grey Twin Band works well with cool-toned schemes. If you want a stronger contrast with more graphic impact, the Dark Grey Single Band is the sharper option.
All three are identical in construction - 300 thread count GOTS Certified organic cotton sateen, same dimensions, same coconut shell buttons. The only difference is the banding colour. Grey reads cooler and more neutral than navy (which reads bold and traditional) or taupe (which reads warm and earthy). Grey is the most versatile across modern, Scandi, and minimalist interiors.
Yes. The 300 thread count sateen weave produces a smooth, low-friction surface, and GOTS certification ensures no harmful chemical residues from processing. For people with dye sensitivities specifically, the undyed White Classic or Natural Classic sets eliminate dye contact entirely.
Cottsbury duvet covers are sized to standard UK dimensions. A Single cover (135 × 200 cm) fits a standard 10.5 tog single duvet. The King (230 × 220 cm) fits a standard UK king duvet without overhang. If you have a deep-fill or oversized duvet, size up.
