A solid Light Grey bedding set on a 300 thread count, 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton sateen base. Light Grey is the palest of the grey colourways in the Cottsbury Classic range - a cool, soft tone that reads almost white at a distance and reveals its grey character in close-up or under directional light. On a sateen weave, the colour sits with a subtle sheen that distinguishes it from the flat appearance the same tone would have in a matte percale. It is the closest thing to white bedding that still introduces a definite, if quiet, colour. Closure is concealed coconut shell buttons - no plastic, no metal.

Light Grey is a pale, cool grey - the lightest of the grey colourways in the Cottsbury Classic range. It reads almost white at a distance and reveals its grey character up close or under directional light. The cool undertone means it sits more naturally with blue-white walls, cool stone surfaces, and silver or chrome hardware than it does with warm whites or cream tones. On a sateen weave, the subtle sheen adds just enough surface interest to distinguish it from a plain white set.
The Cottsbury Classic range covers the full greyscale from Natural (undyed warm ecru) and White through Light Grey to Dark Slate (deep charcoal). Light Grey is the bridge between White and the darker greys - it introduces a definite colour note without any of the visual weight that Dark Slate carries. If you want the flexibility of near-white bedding that has a slightly more considered aesthetic than plain white, Light Grey is the choice. If you want colour presence and contrast, Dark Slate is the other end of the spectrum.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the leading international certification for organic textiles. It requires the cotton to be grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers and verifies that every processing stage - including dyeing - meets strict chemical and labour standards. GOTS prohibits azo dyes capable of releasing carcinogenic aromatic amines and heavy metal-based pigments, which are common in conventional grey dyeing. For a pale colourway like Light Grey, the dye concentration is lower than darker shades, but the GOTS restrictions apply equally throughout the range.
